Gujarat legislators today bide adieu to Speaker Vajubhai Vala who has been appointed as Governor of Karnataka. State chief minister described Vala as an ideal governor that any state can have.
The member of the state legislative assembly including leader of the opposition Shankarsinh Vaghela on Thursday attended the farewell function of the Vala in the state Assembly House.
Describing Vala as a man with unique organisational skills and sportsmanship, Patel showered praised on the veteran legislator who hold the record for presenting state budget for 18 consecutive times.
"Vajubhai has provided guidance to the new MLAs and helped get them opportunity to ask several questions," Patel said, adding that he was a man with versatile personality with a great sense of humor both in an out of the assembly. "Vajubhai will serve as an ideal Governor for any state," she added. Patel felicitated Vala with a shawl and memento and extended her best wishes for his new role. Leader of Opposition Shankarsinh Vaghela too praised Vala and recollected old memories with him while wishing his for his new innings as Karnataka Governor.
BJP chief whip Pankajbhai Desai, Congress chief whip Balvantsinh Rajput and BJP state President R C Faldu along with other leaders also offering best wishes to Vala.
