The 14th Commonwealth International Sports Science Congress 2010(CISSC 2010) a lead up conference is being organized jointly by the Organizing Committee CWG 2010 Delhi, National Association of Physical Education and Sports Science (NAPESS), Indian Association of Sports Medicine (IASM), Asian Federation of Sports Medicine (AFSM) and Delhi University will be held at Manav Rachna International University’s campus, situated in the Aravali Hills Delhi, NCR.
This congress is held every four years, prior to the commencement of the Commonwealth Games by the respective organizing committee. In 2006, this convention was held in the city of Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. O.P.Bhalla, Chancellor MRIU and chief patron - CISSC 2010 said, “Manav Rachna International University has worked very closely with the CWG Organizing Committee, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Sports Authority of India (SAI) for the congress. We are overwhelmed that we would be hosting CISSC 2010 at our campus and we believe that it is the right forum for academicians, researchers and experts to come together to share information and experiences and to span various domains of sports sciences.”
The conference with the theme “Play Triumph scientifically” will be a multidisciplinary congress that will offer a splendid opportunity to the world’s leading sports academicians and practitioners to network with professionals who observe sport through a multiplicity of perspectives and disciplines and to showcase their work to worldwide audience. During the conference participation of people from different disciplines are expected to come on common platform and sharing their views with eminent speakers from all over the world.

Hans de Ridder (president, ISAK) & Prof. Michael (Mike) Marfell-Jones (secretary-general, ISAK) carried further by another intensive training workshop on work place health promotion will be conducted by Wolf Kirsten - International Health Consultant, Berlin, Germany and Dr. Robert Karch from American University, Washington. Besides, other important events would also include manual therapy by Dr Umashankar Mohanty, Wheelchair skill by Mr. Arun Sondhi, ACL Rehabilitation by Dr. Parag Sancheti. Every workshop will have 30 seats and will be allotted according to first come first serve basis.
