Mr. Aditya Bafna, the Executive Director of Shree Shubham Logistics Limited (SSLL), a subsidiary of Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited has been appointed as the Director on the board of NABARD Consultancy Services Private Limited which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development).
The appointment, effective January 15, 2010, has been made by NABARD Chairman, Mr. Umesh Chandra Sarangi, I.A.S.
Commenting on his new assignment on the prestigious body, Mr. Bafna said “I am pleased to be part of this important institution and will contribute my experience and knowledge in the field of agri-logistics for the benefit of the Indian farming and trading community.” Mr. Bafna also expressed keen interest in supporting NABARD’s various initiatives towards the rural masses. With over eight years of experience in the private sector, he hopes to use his expertise towards meeting the challenges of agri commodity storage and preservation in India.
SSLL is focused in developing state-of-the-art Commodity Warehousing Logistics parks at strategic locations in the country. With10 fully operational Agri Logistics Parks spread across Rajasthan & Gujarat, SSLL offers over 2,00,000 MT of storage capacity.
With a pan-India presence, SSLL offers end-to-end logistics solutions to all commodity stakeholders and handles operations encompassing Storage & Preservation – Chain of Cold and Dry Warehouses, Commodity Funding, Collateral Management, Testing & Certification, Pest Management, Exports, Branded Commodities and Risk & Financial Management Services.
In order to play a pivotal role in the burgeoning agri business, SSLL is setting its foot-print in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & South India over the next two years. SSLL’s initiative is to build over 41 Agri Logistics Parks in about 9 States of India calls for an investment of over Rs. 600 crores.
