All India Management Association (AIMA), the apex body of the management profession announced the appointment of its new President, Senior Vice-President, Vice President and Treasurer. Mr. Sanjiv Goenka has been elected as the AIMA President with immediate effect .He succeeds Mr. S K Swamy. Mr. Goenka will lead the organisation’s mission by working with an experienced team of senior officials to help in building managerial excellence in India.
Mr. Goenka is also the Vice Chairman of RPG Enterprises; Mr. Sanjiv Goenka is involved in a number of core businesses – including power, tyre, organized retail, entertainment, IT and Life Sciences. The Group currently has an annual turnover of Rs. 15,000 crore (US$ 3 billion) and employs 40,000 people.

Mr.Gautam Thapar takes over as Senior Vice President of AIMA.

Mr. Rajiv Vastupal takes over as the Vice President of AIMA.
He is also the chairman of Rajiv Petrochemicals Pvt Ltd & Group chairman of Team Rajiv who has diversified business interests in Polymer, Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Electricals with the present turnover of 600 crores and expected to be the 1000 crore turnover company by 2011.

Mr. P Dwarkanath takes over as the Treasurer of AIMA.
He is also the Director – Group Human Capital of Max India Ltd, New Delhi. Mr. Dwarakanath is a Bachelor of Science, Law and holds Post Graduate Diploma in Management in PM & IR. Prior to his current assignment, he was the Director – Human Resources and Administration, India/ South Asia of GSK for several years. During his tenure, GSK was adjudged as one of the top five best employers in India for people related practices in the years 2002 to 2004. He was a member of GSK’s International HR team. He is on the board of several Companies / Institutions including GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd.
