Cement major Ambuja Cements recorded a 4.66% rise in the cement production in February 2010. During the month, the company reported a production of 16.84 million tonnes as compared to 16.09 million tonnes in February 2009.
In the same period, the company dispatched 16.90 million tonnes of cement, a rise of 2.49% as against the 16.49 million tonnes in August 08.
During the January-February period, the company reported a rise of 6.28% at 34.21 million tonnes as against 32.18 million tonnes in the corresponding period a year ago.
In the same period, the company dispatched 34.38 million tonnes of cement as compared to 32.75 million tonnes, a rise of 4.98% over the prior year period.
