Amity rewards country's scholars at "Scholarship Award Function 2011"

To reward the hard work and excellence achieved by meritorious students in their academic endeavors, a “Scholarship Award Function” spread over two days (January 31st – February 1st, 2011) has been organized by Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) at Amity University Campus, Sector-125, Noida.

During the two days “Scholarship Award Function” Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, AUUP and Maj. Gen K J Singh- Vice Chancellor, AUUP will award ‘On Admission Merit Scholarship’, ‘Merit Scholarship on Programme’, ‘Merit cum Means Scholarship’, ‘Special Scholarship’ and ‘Scholarship on Compassionate Grounds’ worth crores to over 600 students, pursuing Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes in Amity.

 

Delivering the welcome address Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Pro VC (A), AUUP said “Scholarship Award Function is a solemn occasion where the hard work and achievements of the students are acknowledged, encouraged and rewarded. It is important to recognize the resilient efforts of these brilliant students to keep the drive for excellence alive in them.”

Beaming with joy and pride while awarding the Scholarship certificates to the meritorious students Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, AUUP said “The brilliant young pupils who are the owners of the scholarship awards, are the hope and future of Amity”. He urged the brilliant awardees to understand and value the contributions of their parents, family and teachers in elevating them to this present platform of achievement. He added “All students who have bagged the Scholarship should continue to work hard with utmost dedication in order to keep the journey of excellence going way beyond visible horizons.”

Sharing his views on the performances of the awardees Maj. Gen K J Singh- Vice Chancellor, AUUP said “There is no substitute to hard work and each student ought to realize the importance of being self sufficient and courageous to clamber the ladder of success and victory and it is this drive and attitude that will enable these bright students to change the world for the better.”

Congratulating the awardees Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group said “It is a matter of immense pride for parents, teachers and the entire Amity family to share the joy of seeing the students being rewarded for their meritorious performances. Amity students possess the power of virtue, ethics and morality coupled with academic excellence which will enable them to experience success in each and step of their lives.”

Thousands of parents accompanied their wards for the proud moment and thereby thanked Amity for having provided such a facility to those students and said “Amity University is one of its kind as it imbibes values and ethics in its students apart from quality education that empowers the bright students to emerge as active contributors to nation development in multiple ways.”

Having received the Scholarship Awards the meritorious students expressed their core gratitude for their parents, family and teachers. Expressing her exultation Ms. Shweta Singhal from Amity Business School (ABS) said “Parents and teachers have been the constant support system to bring out the best efforts in me to achieve this prestigious Scholarship Award and it is my pledge to all those who contributed in my achievement that I will reward them with my performances in the future as well.”

Out of the total number of awardees one hundred and thirty six students from Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), eighteen students from Amity Business School (ASB), eleven students from Amity International Business School (AIBS) Sixteen students from Amity Law School (ALS) and number of students from other institutions of Amity were conferred upon the Scholarship award on the first day of the Scholarship Award Function.

During the second day (February 1st 2011) of the Scholarship Award Function Eight students from ABS, seventeen students Amity Institute of Telecom & Technology Management (AITTM) , eleven students from ALS, one hundred and thirty two students from ASET and numerous students from the other institutions of Amity University will be conferred upon the Scholarship Awards.
