With the additions, AppLabs' Board would now consist of five members, the existing being G.K.P. Reddi, Sandeep Singhal and Sashi Reddi. Sashi will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Board. |

Ranjan Chak joined Oak Investment Partners as a Venture Partner in 2003, after a diverse 20-year career in information technology including over 15 years in senior management roles in international operations. A cum laude graduate in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College, Ranjan has managed an AI research project at Carnegie Mellon University, established new ventures in Europe and Japan for Carnegie Group Inc., and helped start up Hewlett Packard (India). As CEO of a software startup he also designed and developed one of India's first shrink-wrapped software products for the international market. |
In 1994, as Vice President (Indian Operations) for Oracle Corporation, he created one of the most successful offshore development centers in India; subsequently, he took over the leadership of Oracle's Asia-Pacific Product Services organization including global support centers in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Melbourne. Ranjan now focuses on helping Oak's portfolio companies execute successful strategies for tapping the software talent in India. Currently, Ranjan sits on the board of Talisma Corporation, Aventail Info Tech, and Infotech Enterprises. |
Michael Levinthal is an independent venture capitalist. He was a General Partner at Mayfield Fund for 20 years and was active as a member of the software team where he led investments in the areas of software development tools, infrastructure, vertical applications and consumer facing applications. He is currently on the board of Altiris (ATRS), Senforce, Directpointe,3point5, Infopia, Cirrus Data Management and Metricstream. Michael was previously involved in the startup of and on the board of Citrix, Pure Software (acquired by Rational), Freshwater (acquired by Mercury Interactive), Webmethods, Military Advantage (acquired by Monster.com), Concur Technologies (CNQR) and several medical device companies including Hearstream, InControl, and Focal Therapeutics. Michael is also actively involved with non-profit organisations. Currently, he is a trustee of UITA (Utah IT association) and a board member of Interplast and Forever Young Foundation. |
