‘Emerging Rail Operator of the Year’ and ‘Emerging Company & Visionary of the Year’

Arshiya International Ltd, continues to establish its position as the only integrated supply chain & logistics infrastructure solutions company in the Indian logistics landscape.  As a testament to the execution of the company, Arshiya won two prestigious industry awards last evening for its vision, innovation and contribution towards revolutionizing the logistics space in India.

As one of the awards, Arshiya received the ‘Emerging Rail Operator of the Year’ award at the Express Logistics and Supply Chain (ELSC) event held at Taj Lands end in Mumbai, for its innovative business model as a private container train operator. Since starting its operations in February 2009, Arshiya has added 14 trains to its portfolio in the last 20 months.

 

Arshiya also received ‘Emerging Company & Visionary of the Year’ award at the Maritime and Logistics Awards (MALA) event held at Taj President for its unique integrated model and thought leadership in the industry.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ajay Mittal, Group Chairman and Managing Director of Arshiya International Ltd. said “Arshiya aims to create a revolution in India’s logistics evolution, through innovative logistics infrastructure solutions such as FTWZs, Rail and Domestic Distriparks. Arshiya recently launched India’s first Free Trade and Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) in Mumbai, Panvel in August 2010. This state-of-the-art logistics park is one of the five zones planned across strategic locations in India. The next zone will be operational in Khurja (Near Delhi), followed Nagpur, Chennai and East of India. FTWZs will give India much needed impetus to drive its economic growth to the next level, while truly leveraging the nation’s vast market as well as its cost and skill arbitrage. As part of Arshiya’s logistics infrastructure solutions, along FTWZs it also has plans to induct over 75 trains, build and operate rail terminals across India.
