Astaro India distributor RAH Infotech wins the highest growth award

Astaro, a leading provider of network security solutions, held a highly successful conference in Malaysia last month, where it honored top-performing channel partners and shared Astaro’s regional strategy for the year after the recent acquisition by global security leader, Sophos. The conference drew more than 40 partners from 23 partner companies in the region.

Themed ‘Get the Big Picture’, the annual Astaro Asia Pacific Partner Conference 2011 kicked off with keynotes from Jan Hichert, CEO and founder of Astaro and Norbert Kiss, Vice President of Astaro Asia Pacific. Topics covered at the conference included Astaro’s security wall, product roadmap and improvements to current solutions, as well as trends impacting the security industry such as log management and cloud solutions in an ever-evolving IT market.

“When we established our Asia headquarters in Singapore two years ago, holding a partner conference of this caliber with such encouraging attendance was a distant goal. We are pleased to be able to achieve it in a short span of time; this demonstrates our commitment to growing and investing in our partner community,” said Jan Hichert during his keynote address.

The conference saw executives from Sophos discuss plans for integration, growth strategies and channel development following the acquisition announced in May 2011. They also affirmed their commitment to support the strong and successful channel ecosystem that Astaro has established.

The three-day event provided channel partners with the opportunity to experience the latest technologies from Astaro as well as engage face-to-face with Astaro executives and other partners in the region. Partners were also offered a closer look at new geographic opportunities for growth and other go-to-market initiatives.

“We have seen exceptional growth in the region last year. A key ingredient to our success is the dedication and loyalty of our channel partners in Asia Pacific,” said Norbert Kiss. “The conference has given us an opportunity to strengthen our relationships with our partners. With industry-specific discussions, hands-on demonstrations and networking opportunities, our partners are enabled to be more effective in selling our solutions.”

“By building our technologies around the security wall, we are able to provide a complete product line-up that has been very well-received in this region. For example, demand for Astaro RED, the most awarded network product in 2010 has increased significantly and is now shipping by the hundreds each month. 2011 promises to be a year of continued innovation and product expansion, specifically in cloud services,” added Norbert.

Recognizing Channel Partners
At the conference’s award ceremony, Astaro recognized several partners for excellent 2010 performance in revenue growth, skills development, customer recruitment and partner support. RAH Infotech India was awarded for best distributor growth.

"In the company of so many dedicated and successful Astaro partners, we were delighted to be recognized by Astaro with this award," said a jubilant Ashok Kumar, CEO RAH Infotech. "Astaro has consistently produced reliable products and provided us with dedicated service and support, allowing us to deliver compelling results in 2010. We hope to continue this successful partnership for years to come.”

On this occasion, Sunil Sapra, Regional Director – Astaro India & South Asia said “Within a short span of 1.5 years, Astaro has established itself as a significant UTM player in India market. Our partners and customers have really appreciated our security wall vision around our flagship UTM solution, Astaro Secure Gateway. Astaro today is the fastest growing UTM Company in India. This wouldn’t have been possible without the focused and passionate contribution by RAH Infotech team. ”

Astaro’s growth in Asia Pacific
