Diwakar Vaish from Delhi won First Prize in Aqua Challenge Race among 600 students across the world
Bal Bharati Public School, Rajendra Nagar ,New Delhi was declared Champions in 15th International competition for Science, Mathematics, Astronomy & Computer Science- “Quanta 2009” recently organised by City Montessori School, Lucknow. The competitions include a Debate, Quizzes, a Mental Ability Test, Sculpting, an Aqua Model Challenge and Computer Software Development. More than 600 students from 40 countries have participated in this four days long competition. From India, about 200 students from 30 schools were participated in quanta 2009. Bal Bharati Public School, Rajendra Nagar ,New Delhi won champions trophy by gating maximum marks among all the participants across the world . Delhi’s genius, Diwakar Vaish play major role in champions his school, Bal Bharati public School by won first prize in Aqua Race A and third prize in Aqua race B. Diwakar was also the leader of their school team. In aqua challenge race A, boat made by Diwakar take minimum 16.7 second to cover distance of 25 meters, while boat made by students of others countries takes average times of one to two minute. Mr. Ashok Kr. Srivastava, justice from Delhi High Court was the chief guest on this occasion and prize was distributed by Mr. Mesh Ram, Vice Chairman of Lucknow , Govt. of India. Founder of City Montessori School, Lucknow, Mr Jagdish Gandhi was also present on this occasion.
QUANTA is an internationally recognised competition with competitors representing nations from around the world. The officials and judges are distinguished in their fields, making the level of competition and the degree of merit achieved commendable. It is an endeavor to focus on the use of Science for positive and constructive purposes. QUANTA have organised as an international competition from the year 1995 and Teams from all over the world have attended the competition. A total of 40 countries have participated in this competition. QUANTA is now a nationally and internationally accredited competition. The participant Countries at QUANTA was India, USA, Armenia, Canada , United Kingdom , Indonesia, Russia, Australia, China, Italy, Singapore, Austria ,Denmark Jordan, Slovakia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Macedonia, South Africa, Bhutan, Finland ,Malaysia ,Sri Lanka, Belarus ,France, Nepal ,Sultanate of Oman, Brunei ,Georgia, Nigeria, Brazil ,Germany, Pakistan ,Ukraine, Bulgaria Greece Philippines ,Czech Republic Hungary and Poland .Kai-Ko was the official mascot of QUANTA. Kai-Ko is a friendly lion, who was welcome participants at QUANTA 2009.
