Bharat Bijlee crosses milestone of 12,000 MVA in transformer production

Bharat Bijlee joined the top league of Power Transformer manufacturers in India by producing and delivering over 12000 MVA of Transformers during the financial year ended March 31st, 2010. This gives Bharat Bijlee clear industry leadership in the 220kV class in India.

Bharat Bijlee’s Transformer Division grew 70% in MVA terms over the previous financial year. This growth was driven by strong order inflow and streamlining of processes. The company is confident that it will maintain this position in the new financial year.

Bharat Bijlee continues to invest in upgrading its facilities and processes in its goal to become a world class transformer enterprise.

 

Executive Director, Mr. Shome Danani commenting on this milestone said, “This is a big achievement for our transformer division and is the result of excellent teamwork. In terms of MVA this puts us among the top few transformer manufacturers in the country. We are confident of capitalizing on this momentum in the current fiscal year.
