Capgemini, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, announced today that it had won the prestigious QCI- DL Shah Commendation Award at the 5th National Quality Conclave on "Leveraging Quality for Good Governance", held in New Delhi.The Capgemini BPO's Adhiktama project, aimed at improving efficiency of the accounts payable process, was recognized for the award in the Large Service Category.
The award was presented by Mr. Masaaki Imai "Lean Guru and Founder of KAIZEN Institute" to Mr. PT Alexander, Vice President - Capgemini Business Services, Finance and Accounting, Capgemini at a ceremony in New Delhi recently.
"Our company provides BPO services in several areas such as finance and accounting, assurance, research services, engineering services, data management, anti-money laundering and supply chain. This project focused on rapidly improving invoice processing productivity in the accounts payable process to meet the client's expectation. Our team met the challenge and we are proud to have been recognized, ahead of over 70 companies, with a National Award for this" said P.T. Alexander, Vice President - Capgemini Business Services, Finance and Accounting, Capgemini.
Adhiktama, means 'more' in Sanskrit. This project was managed by the Capgemini BPO FAO teams in Salem. The Six Sigma team addressed the productivity issue on certain business processes, enhancing average output by 90% and reducing errors to less than 2%.
The award is yet another proof of Capgemini's relentless pursuit to delight customers and move the industry benchmark. It also contributes to consolidating India's strong position as a global leader in IT/ITES services.
