Chhattisgarh Tourism Board invites visitors to 'Lok Prasang', which brings together the culture & tradition of entire state at one place; open between March 23-25
Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, the governing body of one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in India today announced that the state capital Raipur will host a 3 day cultural fiesta “Lok Prasang” from March 23rd to 25th. It is first of its kind initiative by the board to promote the state’s thousand year old heritage by bringing together the different communities and regions of the state at one place. This initiative will give opportunity to visitors to know more about state’s preserved cultural heritage, handicraft, life of old tribal communities etc. The three day festival is going to be a showcase ranging from khadi, jewelry, local food and state’s art & culture would be depicted through performances, display of handicrafts, wellness therapies, jewelry show, food show etc. The festival will be taking place at Purkhoti Muktangan, Raipur from March 23rd-25thin evening 4.30 – 7.30 pm.
Mr. Tapesh Jha, MD, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) said “We are happy to announce this initiative as it will go a long way in promoting the state’s thousand year old culture and tradition. Our effort is to showcase state’s diverse heritage by bringing together different communities which represents Chhattisgarh essence in one way or the other. This three day event will portray different shades of the state and hence will show how culture and tradition has fabricated the whole state in a fascinating way. We invite visitors to come and enjoy and learn about Chhattisgarh, we expect it would be a memorable experience for them”

To organize this event, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has brought together various government departments, bodies and individuals to create a memorable experience for the visitors. Chhattisgarh Government Culture department, Forest department, Women and Child Development department, Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Handicraft board, Van Aushadhi board, Hastshilp board, Anthropologists, Bamboo Shilp artisits and KVIC have contributed to create this festival.
