Citizen Watches launches new technologically driven watches

Citizen Watches (India) Pvt. Limited recently launched a new range of wristwatches ‘Eco Drive Super Chronograph, and Calendrier’, which are both technologically driven & aesthetically appealing. These stylishly crafted watches are basically ‘the fusion of technology and beauty’.

The stylish new models include:

Eco-Drive Super Chronograph 1000 (Calibre U700/U706)
The uniqueness of this watch is that it can measure time to 1/1000 sec., as well as split time, lap time and speed. The watch can also display average speed if the distance to be covered, is input in advance. There is also a lap memo function for checking previous results, and the watch can recall best lap, average lap and lap speed of each. With its hinged function buttons, the watch offers stable operation and highly distinctive styling, while the rubber edge on the left side of the case makes it easier to grip when performing chronograph functions. This is clearly a watch designed for the sports-minded people.

Other features include alarm, world time, calendar, Eco-Drive; never change a battery, Operating time from full charge: Approx. 4 years in power-saving mode, Lap Memo, Water Resistant to 20 bar, Speed Display (U700: kilometers, U706: miles) and LED light.

Eco-Drive Calendrier (Calibre 8730)
With a light-powered Eco-Drive movement as the starting point, this watch depicts cosmic space through the earth, moon and sun. The theme of the design is the fusion of space and time. The dial of the watch represents a Calendrier (Calendar) with the earth at its centre. Surrounding it is the moon phase at 6 o’clock, the date (symbolizing the sun) at 12 o’clock, and day and month at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock, respectively. In a space measuring just a few millimeters thick, the multi-layered metallic dial creates a sense of infinite depth and breadth and gives a feeling of continuity with the cosmos. As a design element, the month and day disks, connected to the watch’s rotation mechanism, suggest the movement of heavenly bodies. Other features include calendar, Eco-Drive; never change a battery, Operating time from full charge: Approx. 6 months, Water Resistant to 10 bar, and Moon Phase.
