This December Courtyard by Marriott, Gurgaon celebrates its first anniversary by giving back to society through its Spirit to Serve Community day with Sankalp - a school for underprivileged children on 4th December, 2010. Spirit to serve is a philosophy directed towards the three important pillars of Marriott: our guests, our associates and our community.
All Marriott hotels and associates spanning the globe invest in resources, time and energy to help make a difference to the lives of others by mentoring students, cleaning environment amongst other initiatives aimed at giving back to the communities that they are involved in.
This year Courtyard by Marriott, Gurgaon has partnered with Sankalp wherein the associates of the hotel will spend an entire day engaging and interacting with these children. The hotel is organizing various activities ranging from screening cartoon movies, a special lunch, entertainment zone, balloon art, face painting, jumping castle, tattoos and many more fun activities to make them feel special and bring a smile on the faces of these children.
Speaking on the occasion General Manager, Matthew Cooper said “Reaching the one year landmark is an important milestone for us. Rather than just celebrating our success alone, we want to share it with our communities that made it possible for us. Spirit to serve our community is an important initiative by which we hope to reach out and make a positive impact on the lives of the people around us.”
