Ethnic Indian Snacks like Namkeens have always been an essential part of the Indian eating habits. This industry which is estimated to grow at 15 percent annum has started gaining acceptance in the international markets as well. With countries like US, UK, Canada emerging as ready markets for these food stuffs the demand has been ever increasing. To satiate the demand of the consumers in this variant, Mrs Bector’s has recently launched its products through the largest retail chain in Canada, marketed by Bloom.
“India has become a growing home to international fast food chains but has not been able to achieve the same status abroad. It is an achievement that our products have been selected by one of the largest retail chain stores in Canada and are already available on the shelves,” said Mr Akshay Bector, MD, Mrs Bector’s Food Specialties Pvt. Ltd. These ethnic snacks manufactured by Mrs Bector’s Food Specialties shall be available for the consumers at all the retail stores of the international chain across Canada. Various products like bhujia, moong dal, panchratan and other premium namkeens have been selected for the stores after undergoing various quality checks.
By keeping in sync with the International Quality standards, the company has gained through an approval for regular orders from the store. “We were audited for CSR, quality etc apart from brand acceptance and I am glad that we were preferred,” said Mr Bector. Our manufacturing unit has been ranked high and recognized by Mc Donald’s, Dominos etc and we supply on a regular basis to them in India,” he added.
The brand has also signed with a leading retailer in UK to manufacture ready to eat products for them. “The contract is very recent and shall fulfill the ready to eat food requirement of its consumers. We shall also be manufacturing in the ready to eat rice segment according to the UK expectation, which usually is very difficult to achieve,” said a confident Mr Bector.
