Delhi Duty Free, India’s largest duty free operator at T3 at IGI Airport in Delhi today announced the successful completion of one year of operations. Commemorating the anniversary, Delhi Duty Free has announced several attractive offers, discounts, free gift offers and promotions across their product categories for travelers for the entire month of August.

Kick-starting the celebrations Delhi Duty Free is giving assured gifts on every purchase of $100 and above. The surprise gift options include strolley bags, beach wear, shot glasses, designer ties, magic torch to name a few.

Speaking on the occasion a Delhi Duty Free spokesperson said, “It’s been a memorable year for us and with the support and commitment from our team we have reached a level where DDFS has been recognized among the Duty Free Industry as the largest duty free operator in India, offering world class shopping experience to its customers.”

Delhi Duty Free was inaugurated one year ago at the new Terminal 3, at IGI airport. Since then the feedback received from travelers traveling from and to Delhi has been overwhelming and highly appreciative. Delhi Duty free ran several ‘first time’ and unique new promotions in the Indian duty free space such as the ‘Beetle in a Bottle’ (Chivas) promotion which entitled one winner to win a brand new Volkswagen Beetle. Several other promotions during the year such as the one introduced during Gandhi Jayanti, where a life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi along with an entire range of Gandhi souvenirs were introduced at the ‘India Bazaar’ section which was well received by the foreign travelers who were introduced to his learning’s and principles. Another innovative promotion during the year was during the Common Wealth Games (CWG) which entitled a special discount to all medal winners for shopping at Delhi Duty Free. Recently, Delhi Duty Free also concluded the ‘Beauty Festival’ which promoted international cosmetics and perfume brands offering extremely attractive discounts and free gifts to travelers. All these promotions were very well received by the target audience and helped promote excellent value of Delhi Duty Free while also building customer loyalty.

DDF’s growing importance within the duty free industry was also evident given the number of exclusive launches being held by leading brands such as Diageo (XR21) , Chanel (Bleu De Chanel), Beam Global (Laphroigh 18), Wemyss Malts, Pernod Ricard(Royal Gun Salute 62 YO), Diro (Aqua Franheit), LVMH (Veuve Clicquot Fridge Pack) and etc.

Delhi Duty Free expanded its portfolio to include luxury fashion stores such as Hugo Boss, Mont Blanc, MCM, Samsonite Black and Swarovski. This is the first time in India that luxury fashion brands were made available at duty free prices. DDF has on offer more than 130 malts including the exclusive range of premium single malt whiskies from distilleries which are now closed and only a couple of bottles are left in the world. This range is the largest in India and much better than many other duty free shops in Asia and the Middle East. Delhi Duty Free also boasts of the largest walk-in Humidor in the country, selling widest variety of Cuban cigars.

“We would like to thank our customers for showing trust and loyalty towards us and our brands, helping Delhi Duty Free services raise the profile of retail in India and globally. We will ensure that we keep launching innovative and unique promotions which have previously been unheard of in the Indian duty free retail environment”, added the spokesperson.
