Durgesh Mehta appointed Britannia CFO

Bangalore, Nov 15, 2006: Britannia Industries Ltd. (BIL), the leader in the organized biscuit and bakery products market in India, has appointed Durgesh Mehta as its Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Mehta joins Britannia from Sify Ltd., where he was working as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Sify, he worked with Unilever and Hindustan Lever, both in India and abroad, in various accounting, commercial, finance and corporate roles including as Finance Director of Unilever Arabia. He will be reporting to the Managing Director, Ms. Vinita Bali.
