Eaton Names Vish Krishnamurthi Vice President-IT, Asia Pacific

Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that Vish Krishnamurthi has been named vice president – IT for Asia Pacific, effective July 12. He will report directly to Curt Hutchins, president – Asia Pacific, and functionally to William Blausey, senior vice president and chief information officer. He succeeds Raja Kochar, who was recently named managing director for Eaton in India and will be based in Pune, India.

In this role, Krishnamurthi will provide information technology leadership for the corporate organization in Asia Pacific. In addition, he will manage the India Information Technology Center which provides IT services to the enterprise for the corporate and the business sectors. He will be a key member of the Asia Pacific leadership team and will drive common IT applications, infrastructure, policies and practices across the region.

 

“Vish’s extensive knowledge of the IT industry and his breadth of professional experience with a number of multinational corporations in the U.S. and India will benefit Eaton greatly and will support us in building a strong and sustainable IT organization across Asia Pacific,” said Hutchins.

Prior to joining Eaton, Krishnamurthi served as a founder and head of Biztro Partners, an India-based consulting firm focused on business transformation through the use of leading edge technologies. Prior to that, he was the CIO and vice president of engineering for Yahoo’s Software Development Center based in Bangalore, India.

Krishnamurthi holds a degree in physics from the University of Mumbai in India, a master's degree in electrical and computing engineering from the State University of New York and a master's in business administration from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
