Ford India posts an impressive 50% y-o-y sales growth in Sep 09

Ford India has registered a robust 50% growth in sales in September 2009 as compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 3,405 units in September 2009 as against 2,273 units during September 2008.

In addition September has been one of the best-selling months during the current year recording a 38% sales increase on month-on-month basis compared to August 2009. The third quarter has also witnessed a 24% increase when compared to 2008 Q3.

Nigel Wark, executive director, Marketing, Sales & Service Ford India said, “We are seeing an overwhelming response to our product line-up with continued strong demand for the Ikon and the Fiesta. The new Endeavour that was launched earlier this month is performing sensationally well and has seen an unprecedented interest evinced by customers at our dealerships as we still are in the process of a phased national launch".

 

Ford India recently introduced the new design look Endeavour 3.0L with 5-speed automatic transmission and also unveiled its upcoming small car Ford Figo at an event in New Delhi in the presence of Alan Mulally, President & CEO, Ford Motor Company.
