Gaa appnted regional mrktng director Reckitt India

Reckitt Benckiser India Ltd, has appointed Mr. Stefan Gaa as Regional Marketing Director, South Asia. Stefan will be responsible for the Marketing function in South Asia which includes India, Sri-Lanka, Bangadesh and Indonesia. India is the headquarters for Reckitt Becnksier's South Asia business and Stefan will be based in the corporate head office in Gurgaon. Stefan will be replacing Ms Anne Engerant, who will now move to Reckitt Benckiser Global for a new assignment.

On his appointment, Mr. Chander Mohan Sethi Chairman and Managing Director Reckitt Benckiser, India Ltd said, "Stefan brings with him immense experience from markets across the world and we are sure that he shall contribute to the growth of the organization"

Stefan joined Reckitt Benckiser Germany in October 2000 in the Marketing team, where he worked on Airwick (a leading Air Care brand internationally). In 2001, he moved to Automatic Dish Washing (ADWD) brand called Calgonit (it is called Finish in India). He then moved to Slough, UK as Global Brand Manager responsible for ADWD for North America and Developing Markets. In April 2005 he moved as Global Brand Manager - Innovation, before moving to join the Indian team in September 2006.

Mr. Stefan Gaa further added "India is a key market for Reckitt Benckiser plc and has been doing well, with double digit growth for the past couple of years. I am looking forward to this assignment and aim to drive Reckitt Benckiser India and South Asia to greater heights".

Interestingly, Stefan started his career working as an intern in Desk top publishing and then in an advertising firm before moving to Japan to work for the German Chamber of Commerce. He studied Japanese there and returned to Germany to work in sales/marketing.

Stefan is multilingual and has lived in many countries. He brings with him rich and diversified experience in Sales, Marketing, and Trade marketing in various industries with both national and international responsibilities.
