Get More Life organised a seminar on life coaching and handwriting analysis at Kendriya Vihar in Nerul West, Navi Mumbai, on December 11, 2011. Neelabh Basu, who has been giving life coaching for the past several years, said the popularity of life coaching has to increased over the past few years and people have started to believe its benefits.
"Life coaching is a practice that helps people identify and achieve personal goals. Life coaches help clients set and reach goals using a variety of tools and techniques. Life coaches are not therapists nor consultants; psychological intervention and business analysis are outside the scope of their work," Basu said. Life coaching draws inspiration from disciplines including sociology, psychology, positive adult development, career counseling, NLP, mentoring and other types of counseling.
The event was organised in association with handwriting analyst Vishwas Heathhcliff, who runs a website on handwriting analysis, Write Choice.
"Handwriting contains a great deal of information about the writer. When you write on a paper, your entire personality gets imprinted on the sheet. And by changing your handwriting a little bit, you can remove blockades from your life and achieve what you want to. By deliberately changing your handwriting, you can change limiting attitudes and behaviours. This curative offshoot of graphology is called graphotherapy," Vishwas said.
Basu said he intergrated handwriting analysis with life coaching because the aim of graphotherapy also is to improve the quality of life.
