Global Offshore to invest $48 mn

To acquire a new large platform supply vessel

Global Offshore Services (formerly known as Garware Offshore Services Ltd) one of the leading offshore vessel services providers announced that it has signed a contract, for the acquisition of a Havyard 832 Platform Supply Vessel at an approximate cost of $48 million, through its wholly-owned subsidiary in The Netherlands, Global Offshore Services BV. The new PSV, which is scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of FY13 is a state of the art vessel, with DP2, FiFi1, CLEAN Notation and Diesel Electric Propulsion.

Commenting on this announcement, Aditya Garware, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Global Offshore Services Limited said, “As a part of our growth strategy, we are consistently looking at opportunities of increasing our fleet size with modern and state-of-the-art vessels and in turn the market presence. This new acquisition is aligned to this vision of the Company”
