H & R Johnson will double capacity for bath fittings at Baddi by March 2011

H & R Johnson (India) will double its manufacturing capacity to 6 lakh pieces per annum by March 2011 at its wholly owned unit at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh to match the huge increase in demand. The Division offers a wide range of Bath products; from sanitaryware, taps and bathroom fittings, shower panels to various bathroom accessories.  The Division has over 500 dealers across the country for its bath products. 

Prism Cement Limited, under the aegis of its H & R Johnson (India) Division, had acquired 100 percent ownership of the Unit, Milano Bathroom Fittings Pvt. Limited in June 2010.

Mr Vijay Aggarwal, Managing Director, Prism Cement Limited, explained,'Our Bath Division has been growing at a creditable 75% per annum and our products have been well-accepted by the market. The division is doing remarkably well both in terms of organic growth, as well as increased market share. This surge in demand may be attributed to superior product quality as well as to Johnson’s unique after sales service which imparts a great deal of confidence to the customers.

 

We are now in the process of scaling-up the bath fittings segment aggressively.  Expanding the capacity of the Baddi plant is one of the strategic initiatives we are undertaking during the current year to meet the growing demand for our bath products’.
