HCL Learning launches a nationwide program for educational institutions

HCL Learning, an education and talent development division of HCL Infosystems Ltd., India’s premier ICT System Integration, Services, Hardware and Distribution Company, today announced the commencement of the ‘Learning Conclave for Progressive Schools ’.The program has begun from December 2011 and will cover numerous schools, colleges and coaching institutes across various cities across the country. The program will be activated as specific events in each city wherein representatives from various educational institutions will congregate and discuss on the usage of IT in the field of education. The Conclave events have been designed to increase the knowledge base in the field of education technology. The events will be held in bigger cities like Mumbai, Jaipur, Mysore and Allahabad and also in places like Kurukshetra, Kota, Bhatinda, Bokaro, Mallapuram and Belgaum, Shillong and many others.

 

The Conclave for progressive schools will be spread across three phases. In the first phase the event would be held in around 100 cities in the first two months ending January, 2012. This would be followed by phase two and three ending in April 2012 respectively. Learning Conclave 2011-12 is a first of its kind event in the Indian education space that would provide a platform for professionals from the Indian education fraternity present in various cities to meet on a common platform and discuss the pertinent issue of how IT can be an enabler in the dissemination of quality education.

Speaking about the Conclaves, Mr Anand Ekambaram, Sr. Vice President, HCL Infosystems Ltd. & Head, Learning Business said “This is an endeavour on our part to highlight the immense value that IT can add to the field of education. We wish to reach out to educationists across the country and seek their views on this topic. We value the efforts of the education fraternity in creating human capital which is shaping the development of our country. We hope that through the Learning Conclaves we will contribute substantially to further the accessibility of quality education using technology, in the country. We would also build educational content around tablets, so that such devices can be of greater value to students.”

In the conclaves, the HCL Learning teams will also showcase the latest IT enablers in the field of education – namely Audio Visuals on Digischool, Demo of Digischool, presentations and interactive discussions on My LearnENG Studio, IMS & Xcelerate programs. These all third generation solutions are uniquely designed to help and deliver enhanced learning outcomes to students while simultaneously improving the overall process of school management. One of the solutions, the Xcelerate program is a tie-up between HCL Learning and Resonance, a leading coaching institute for IIT-JEE and other entrance examinations based out of Kota, Rajasthan. The program is a State-Of-The-Art Live Two Way Interactive Distance Learning Technology providing coaching for IIT-JEE, AIEEE, AIPMT, NTSE, KVPY and International Olympiads. Also guests at these conclaves may participate in a contest to win a ME X1 TABLET from HCL.
