Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) held its 7th Healthcare Summit here at Hyatt Regency. The conference was envisaged to delve into deeper understanding of healthcare issues and opportunities in India and explore the possibilities to address them. India Health Progress (IHP), an independent initiative to facilitate access to healthcare in India also had its presence at the summit.
The Conference was attended by various health and industry experts who stressed upon amplifying the growing need for a sustainable and inclusive healthcare policy in India.
IHP’s concept of giving a greater voice to the lack of access to healthcare in India for finding a viable solution to this problem was much appreciated by the visitors and eminent thinkers present on the occasion.
Underscoring the need for better access to healthcare needs of patients, the principal advisor of IHP, Mr. Aman Gupta said “The conferences like India Health Summit by CII are really needed to accentuate the underlying factors giving rise to lack of healthcare access in India. IHP on similar lines is committed to offer extended platforms across the country for deliberations on health issues to find meaningful solutions.”
About India Health Progress
India Health Progress is a first-of-its-kind initiative to provide a health policy platform to various partners who will work in unison to achieve a common goal --- access to healthcare. It will be led by various individuals and organizations that can directly or indirectly play a role to ensure access to healthcare in India. As part of the plan, IHP’s advisory board will involve various groups --- public as well as private --- to raise awareness levels among all concerned.
