With the Hero Honda FIH World Cup 2010 drawing closer, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the organizers of hockey’s showcase event have launched the official Hero Honda FIH World Cup website today. Partnering with MSN the URL for the website is www.msnindia.com/worldcuphockey
For each of its World Level Events, the FIH launches a special tournament micro site. For the Hero Honda FIH World Cup website, synergy has been created by partnering with MSN. The event website will be the first ever hockey portal with two website in one: FIH’s micro site and the organizers tournament website
Complete with Event news, fixtures and results, points table, teams and profiles, a photo gallery, official match sheets, commentary, official communications, video’s, the website will feature all usual information on FIH tournament micro site.
But that’s not all, with items like Online Games, World Cup merchandise, tourist information, a fan zone and other feature the official website has also been created to have action packed fun while browsing. Online games have been created with tournament merchandise as prizes.
Travelling to India and within India after the Hockey World Cup has just been made easier because aside from tournament information, visitors to India may also purchase tickets to the World Cup and book their holiday packages on the website.
A special zone has been created for Domestic and International media titled the MEDIA ZONE to enable media to obtain all information pertaining to the forthcoming and previous World Cups including player, captain and coach interviews and statistics.
MSN India will look to launch the official World Cup website with over 4 Million of its users on the Windows Live Network.
