Hindustan Tin Works Ltd, the largest can manufacturer of India recorded a growth of 119% in its net profit (PAT) for the quarter ended March 31, 10. The year ended 31st March 2010 results recorded a whooping 71% growth in PAT at Rs. 11.46 cores as compared to 6.69 crores recorded in the previous financial year.
Net sales were up by 17% to Rs. 285 crores in the year ended March, 10 as compared to Rs. 244 crores in the previous financial year.
Earnings per share stood at Rs.11.02 as against Rs.6.43 of previous year.
Net sales were up by 26% to Rs. 84 crores in the 4th Qtr ended March, 10 as compared to Rs. 66 crores in the corresponding Qtr of previous financial year.
Earnings per share stood at Rs. 2.94 as against Rs. 1.34 of previous year Qtr ended March 10.

Recent Developments:
HTWL has bagged new orders from China, Canada, New Zealand etc. HTWL has also started a new business relationship with a global MNC which marks their entry in a premium high end luxury segment manufacturing cans for wrist watches. Being a new segment for HTWL it has high potential for growth.
