HSCI posts 343% growth in Oct

New Delhi, November 1, 2006: Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, sold a total of 5,566 units in the month of October, 2006.
 
HSCI's growth in October this year as compared with the corresponding period last year, was 343.5% because the Honda City was in the run-out phase last year, prior to the launch of the City ZX.
 
The Honda Civic has notched up a cumulative tally of 8,011 since its launch in July this year.
 
The cumulative sales of the company during Jan"�Oct 2006 also saw an impressive jump of 38.57% over the corresponding period last year (Jan"�Oct 2005). In terms of volumes, HSCI has sold 47,412 units in Jan-Oct '06 as against 34,214 units sold in Jan-Oct '05.
 
Model wise break-up for October '06: City: 3,673; Civic: 1,726; Accord: 165; CRV: 2
