HyperCITY touches 1 Million Customers

Mumbai, July 31, 2006: HyperCITY, India's first true hypermarket, has created a retail record by having achieved a milestone of serving 1 million customers at its first store in Malad, Mumbai, in a remarkably short span of 3 months since its store opening. HyperCITY has continued to set for itself retail benchmarks through its novel and innovative format and has successfully given the discerning Indian customers a truly international shopping environment, with the widest range of products and services, at an exceptional value.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Andrew Levermore, CEO, HyperCITY, said, "When we launched HyperCITY, we believed that the key focus of the store was in providing value and price competitiveness to attract customers. It's been very gratifying to achieve a million customers at HyperCITY and this reflects the trust the customer has placed in us. Ms. Parisa Faramarzi, who walked into HyperCITY at 4.30 p.m. on Sunday, July 30th, 2006, was taken by surprise when the staff at HyperCITY showered her with flowers and gift vouchers to felicitate her as their 1 millionth customer. Ms Faramarzi was overwhelmed to be the lucky winner and declared it was a memorable moment in her life.
