IEEMA appoints Murali Venkatraman as President

Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA) - India’s apex chamber for the power Transmission & Distribution industry has announced a change in leadership. Mr. Murali Venkatraman today took over as President, IEEMA from Mr. V. V. Paranjape.

As President, Mr. Murali Venkatraman will be responsible for bringing together the key power sector companies both from the Indian public and private sector realm. His immediate concern areas remain, voicing concerns of the power industry to meet the national objective of Power for All and sustainable energy for the growth of the Indian infrastructure at large. He will also work towards smoothening the connectivity between suppliers and EPC contractors with the Ministry of Power, power planning agencies and the utilities.

 

Mr. Venkatraman holds a Masters degree in Engineering Management and has over 24 years of domain expertise in various functional areas ranging from Product Management to Multiple Profit Center Responsibility. He is an active Board member of companies within the Auto Ancillary and Plantation sectors.

With IEEMA witnessing tremendous growth as an organization, Mr. Murali Venkatraman’s years of experience with various industries in various capacities will prove to be invaluable.

He is an active participant in various industry and management forums both at the National and Regional levels.  He has served on the Executive Council of IEEMA and is also on the Managing Committee of ASSOCHAM.  In 1998-99 he was the President of Madras Management Association and the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2004-05.
