The annual conference of the West Bengal branch of the Indian Dental Association is to be held on 22nd and 23rd November, 2008 at Kolkata Science City Auditorium. IFGL Bio Ceramics Limited dealing with state-of–the-art products, namely, hydroxyapatite based orbital implant (CeraEye), synthetic hydroxyapatite and ß-Tri-calcium phosphate based granules and blocks (BioGraft) and alumina based femoral head (CeraHip), manufactured according to the technical know-how of Central Glass & Ceramics Research Institute at Kolkata and processes having ISO 9001:2002 and CE 1023 certifications, will be participating in the conference with all these products, particularly BioGraft.
BioGraft, being synthetic bone graft material, is both biocompatible and bioactive. Hydroxyapatite phase similar to natural bone structure, is the major constituent and its porous and crystalline structure provides osteoconductivity and resorbality, which are extremely helpful for one regenerative process. BioGraft blocks and granules are already being used by leading dental hospitals, periodontists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons and are very competitively priced compared to similar imported products. In an appreciation note, one of the leading dental surgeons said, “ The bioactive granules caused hard tissue growth.
