INDIA ITME 2012 announces 9th edition of World Textile Technology Exhibition

India International Textile Machinery Exhibition (India-ITME) Society announced the launch of the 9th Chapter of India ITME, the largest textile machinery exhibition in India. The exhibition will be held from 2nd December 2012 to 7th December 2012 at Bombay Exhibition Centre Mumbai. Spread over 55,000 sq. mtrs., with expected participation of about 750 exhibitors and 100,000 business visitors from 40 countries are expected to participate in the exhibition. ITME society, sponsored by 5 major Indian textile and textile engineering associations, organises this mega event once in four years. It is most sought after event for textile Technology and machinery across the world. 

 

Kishore Biyani, MD, M/s. Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited; Chief Guest launched the exhibition in presence of Consulate Generals from various countries. 

Biyani said, “India is self reliant in textile sector, from growing raw material to spinning and creating value added products in textile sector, India is second to none. Our textile products have earned the accolades from international markets and are respected for quality across the globe this is an excellent initiative from India ITME to boost the business in textile sector, I am honoured to be part of India ITME-2012 launch.” 

R.K. Jha, Director, Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Co. Ltd. Said, “India ITME holds a credible name in textile machinery industry. We are happy to partner with them for hosting the exhibition culture in this country. We are very enthusiastic to building World Class Exhibition cum Convention Centre at GIFT in Ahmedabad.” 

The facility would be hosting various domestic and international exhibitions and conventions for various products and services. 

R.S. Bachkaniwala, Chairman, India ITME Society said, ”It has been our constant endeavour to facilitate the growth and development of the world textile machinery and accessories. The quest for textile technology ends at India ITME 2012. The 9th edition of this mega exhibition is designed to provide complete solution for the textile and textile engineering sector whether be it machinery, accessories, new products or innovative idea ready for commercialization.”

He further added “I am happy to share with you that India ITME Society is moving forward and stepping into a new venture of creating a world-class exhibition cum convention centre in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This exhibition will be located at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Co. Ltd (‘GIFT’) and as you have seen we have signed an MoU in your presence today with ‘GIFT’. 

About ITME:
The India International Textile Machinery Exhibitions Society (India-ITME Society) established in 1980 is a non-profit organisation serving the Textile Engineering Industry and Textile Industry through international exhibitions. The India ITME is sponsored and promoted by Textile Machinery Manufacturers' Association (India) (TMMA), Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers' Association (ITAMMA), Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), Textile Association of India (TAI) and the Bureau of Indian Standards.

Since the inception, India ITME has so far held 8 very successful International textile machinery exhibitions. These global exhibitions are held every 4 years to display modern technology, innovations and new market opportunities relating to textile machinery, accessories and components under one roof.
