The University of Malta together with the High Commission of Malta in India, organized a high profile education delegation that recently visited Malta from Last week. The group consisted of selected high school principals and heads of educational institutions from across India and was led by Ms. Megha Srivastav, University of Malta Officer based at the High Commission of Malta in New Delhi. The event was fully supported and facilitated by the High Commission of Malta in India.
The visit was planned with the purpose of appraising the school heads about the range of opportunities Malta can offer to Indian students. Apart from quality education at relatively low cost, Malta promises a safe environment for students.
The delegates while in Malta, interacted with the faculty, students and senior officials of the University, they participated in an academic workshop and visited local private schools. Provisions were also made for sightseeing and leisure activities. The programme of the visit was designed to showcase Malta and its educational, cultural and social setting.
The University is placing a special emphasis on developing collaborative exchanges with Indian educationists, academicians and institutions of learning. Organizing this delegation was a reiteration of this objective.
Over the last three years the University of Malta has been actively promoting itself through the High Commission in India and thanks to this concerted effort interest in collaboration has increased at various levels. Promoting mutual academic exchanges, organisation of seminars, sharing of knowledge and expertise with Indian Higher Education institutions has become a prominent item on the internationalization agenda of the University.

About the University of Malta
