Indications from Nepalese PM is positive signal for Bihar: Nitish Kumar

Bihar Chief Minister Sri Nitish Kumar has said that the Nepalese Prime Minister's statement that in next 10 years, Nepal will produce 10 thousand megawatts through different hydel projects is quite appreciable. He said that in the changed scenario in Nepal, a revolutionary, fighting leadership has emerged on the highest post of the country and the views expressed by him on different aspects of India, is on the lines of our expectations. Sri Kumar said that Sri Prachand's speech was quite encouraging and I welcome it. Although Sri Prachand did not say anything on Kosi, but his utterances on the controlled discharge of water due to different hydel projects, is the indication of solution to our problems. He said that he had a talk with him before and after the lunch.

 

Sri Nitish Kumar was answering the queries raised by scribes after the lunch organized by Indo-Nepal Parliamentary Forum's President Sri Sharad Yadav at his residence in New Delhi today, to welcome the Nepalese Prime Minister, Sri Pushpa Kamal Dal Prachand. In an answer to Nepalese press reporter about relief work on the side of Nepal, Sri Kumar said that if the India government permits me, I am ready to do the relief work on the other side of the fence.

In this welcome ceremony, the Nepalese Prime Minister Sri Prachand said that in his struggle for ten years, I was underground for 8 years in India and was studying India in those days. I have emerged as first elected Prime Minister of the new republic of Nepal. I for the first time talked to the Indian Prime Minister on 15th. September 2008 and it has unveiled a new era. The years old traditional relationship between India and Nepal has to be strengthened further. He said that he had a positive talk with India government on water management. He said that the Nepalese territories will not be allowed to be used against anyone. He mentioned that the production of 10 thousand megawatts of hydel power would automatically solve the water problem. He further said that an East-West rail project would be developed in which India's cooperation will be required.

In the welcome ceremony organized by Indo-Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Forum, along with the Nepalese Prime Minister a high level delegation too accompanied him. Lok Sabha Speaker, Sri Somnath Chatterjee, Ex PM, Sri IK Gujral, Union Agriculture Minister, Sri Sharad Pawar, Civil Aviation Minister, Sri Prafful Patel, Ex. Union Minister Sri Murli Manohar Joshi, Sri Mulayam Singh Yadav, Sri Amar Singh, Sri Shanti Bhushan, Sri Digvijay Singh, Sri Devendra Pd. Yadav, Sri DP Tripathi along with many respectable citizen attended the welcome ceremony.
