IRB bags the first NHAI Ultra Mega Project in Highways

IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited (‘IRB”), (BSE: 532947) one of the largest toll road operating companies in India has emerged as the Preferred Bidder for the Six Laning of Ahmedabad-Vadodra Section from km.6.400 to km. 108.700 of NH-8 and improvement of the existing Ahmedabad Vadodra expressway from km 0.000 to km 93.302 in the State of Gujarat under Phase V on Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer DBFOT basis.

It is the first NHAI Ultra Mega project in highways. The project length is approximately 102.300 Km. IRB gets a concession period of 25 years and the company has to pay a premium of Rs.309.60 Crore for the Project to the NHAI, in the first year and will increase 5% YoY.

 

Commenting on this Mr. V. D. Mhaiskar, Chairman & Managing Director of IRB infrastructure Developers Ltd. said, “With the bagging of the first Ultra Mega Project of the NHAI in highways we are poised to take a quantum jump in our execution capability. With the addition of this project our order book stands at approximately Rs.12, 000 crore.”
