For Navratri starting tomorrow, followed soon after by Durga Puja, Jet Airways has conceptualised special in-flight menus to appeal to the requirement and palate of its discerning passengers traveling in Club Premiere and Economy Class. |
During the Navratri festival, from Saturday, September 23rd through Monday, October 02nd 2006, carefully selected and prepared, specialty vegetarian cuisine will be served as hot snacks and meals between Mumbai and cities in Gujarat like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Diu and Porbandar. Passengers will be able to sample exclusive fare ranging from khaman dhokla, khandvi, ghatia for snacks; flower ne watana, makai watana, muthia, thirangi chawal, subz rangeeli for lunch and dinner to basundi with gajar halwa as dessert. |
For passengers traveling between Kolkata and the North Eastern sectors from Wednesday, September 27 through to Friday, September 29 2006, Jet Airways has prepared a traditional festival in-flight menu for lunch and dinner with authentic Bengali cuisine, served on meal trays decorated with banana leaves, such as macher kalia, cholar dal, potol bhaja, ghee bhat, luchis and chenna payesh. |
Commenting on these special in-flight food festivals, Mr. Ashish Hasrat, Food & Beverage Manager, Jet Airways said, "We have taken great care in choosing these in-flight menus, bearing in mind, the very essence, of these two diverse festivals, during which, traditional food of the region is prepared with special ingredients." |
These exclusive menus for Navratri and Durga Puja have been created especially for the Airline by expert Chefs from in-flight Caterers, Taj SATS and Sky Gourmet, in consultation with the Food & Beverage Managers of Jet Airways. |
