Jet Airways introduces enhanced connectivity into Tier II cities across India

New Services to commence March 27, 2011

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, is set to significantly enhance network connectivity to/from Central India with new connections. The new routes will connect the Tier II cities of Central India like Raipur, Indore, Bhopal and Nagpur with the South Indian cities of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kochi with the introduction of Boeing 737/ATR services effective March 27, 2011.

Tiruchirapally is to be linked with Chennai via a daily ATR service. Apart from these services, Bhubaneshwar, the capital of Orissa, will also have better connectivity with Bengaluru, Delhi and Hyderabad apart from connecting to Raipur, Indore, Bhopal and Nagpur in the summer schedule. In addition to which Vijayawada and Tiruchirapally will also be provided with the same day connections to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.

 

Jet Airways is also set to introduce new return routes between Mumbai-Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam via Chennai, Kochi-Visakhapatnam via Bengaluru and Chennai, Hyderabad-Jaipur, Bengaluru-Jaipur via Hyderabad, Delhi-Aurangabad, Mumbai-Ranchi-Patna, all of which would be serviced by Jet Airways’ Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline will press its ATR 72-500 service between Kolkata-Raipur, Kolkata-Indore via Raipur, Kolkata-Bhopal via Raipur and Indore, Hyderabad-Nagpur, Hyderabad-Indore, Visakhapatnam-Indore via Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Bhopal, Hyderabad-Vijayawada and Chennai-Tiruchirapally.
