Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, yesterday launched its inaugural daily service to Dubai from Chennai with a full complement of passengers, as well as a second service on the Mumbai-Dubai sector.
The launch of the airline's first Chennai-Dubai service was marked by a small lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of company officials at the Chennai International Airport.
With the launch of these new daily services, Jet Airways now operates four daily flights to Dubai from three major Indian metros, aboard state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
In addition to the new services, the airline also flies daily to Dubai from Mumbai and Delhi respectively.
Flight 9W 542 departed Mumbai at 0930 hrs, arriving in Dubai at 1105 hrs. 9W 541 then departed Dubai at 1235 hrs, arriving in Mumbai at 1710 hrs.
Flight 9W 546 departed Chennai at 1245 hrs, arriving in Dubai at 1530 hrs. 9W 545 then departed Dubai at 1630 hrs, arriving in Chennai at 2215 hrs.
