JGI iDEA partners with top Business Schools in Germany & South-East Asia

To provide extensive global reach to gen-next students and enhance their global entrepreneurial ability

The JGI iDEA program has entered into Strategic Partnerships with the Heimerer School in Germany & the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Philippines, to give its students the extra competitive edge as Entrepreneurs who will be looking beyond boundaries.

JGI iDEA Program is an International PGP in Entrepreneurship with Guaranteed Investment in Student Business. JGI Ventures, a venture promoted by Dr R Chenraj Jain with a fund base of Rs 500 crore to promote Entrepreneurship by incubating student venture with 100% funding, launched the program recently. 

 

iDEA program is designed with a vision to build a stronger entrepreneur ecosystem in India. The program is spread in 3 phases of 10months, 08months & 12 months. In the 1st phase, the student will be trained on the “how and why” of business ventures in a world-class residential campus in Bangalore & EDI, Ahmedabad. Phase 2 consist of Seven Countries Business Study Tour and Business Plan Development and in the last phase the student business is incubated with 100% Funding, Business Mentoring and active assistance in terms of Networking, Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, Shared Services and more.

The partnerships will entail JGi students to get a hands-on experience in the various verticals of business from these institutions. The HEIMERER School from Germany is known for its outstanding capabilities in Management education that complement the JGi iDEA Program. The tie-up with the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines will add to the global entrepreneurial exposure, giving them a perspective of Asian business culture. Students will also travel to China and Hong Kong to understand and learn how China is powering itself through entrepreneurship and invading global markets.

Enthused with the collaboration, Dr Friedrich Heimerer, Director Heimerer School, Germany said, “We are very excited to be a part of the distinctive entrepreneurship program JGi iDEA. Our school is committed to providing the best of the resources and mentoring for students, essentially grooming them in niche areas of entrepreneurship. The relationship will enable the students to work closely with the innovative faculty and students at the Heimerer School, adding to knowledge sharing”.

In Germany, the students of the iDEA program will visit the Chamber of Commerce, interact with entrepreneurs, business professionals and communities, as well as visit established companies to get a ringside view of their operations. It is envisaged that the students may also forge business linkages with businesspeople in Germany, which would come into effect when they launch their ventures after they return to India.

Associate Dean Gracia S. Ugut of the Asian Institute of Management, said: “Our collaboration with JGi is intended not just to develop entrepreneurial abilities amongst students but also to transform them as business leaders in the making.  The students will be exposed to the Asian context of entrepreneurship, business practices and governance as well as discover entrepreneurial practices in the region through networking with the Chamber of Commerce, Asian entrepreneurs, and potential suppliers and customers. They will also visit small and medium scale enterprises in the region, and participate in niche courses in the premiere institute, that will give them the entrepreneurial edge.”

Students of the JGI-IDEA program will visit China and Hong-Kong for two weeks, where they will get insights into China’s business models and exposure to the industries along with local business practices.  They will visit medium and large-scale industries, Trade Shows and interact will local industry bodies. The idea is to expose the students to mass production, scale-up, supply-chain and logistics, all key components of operational excellence, as part of the entrepreneurship program.
