Kirloskar Oil Engines' New Plant at Kagal inaugurated

Launches new range of engines and gensets

Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, a Kirloskar Group Company and one of the leading manufacturers of Diesel Engines in India has set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant with an investment of Rs.500 Crore at Five Star MIDC at Kagal near Kolhapur in Maharashtra on 165 acres of plot. Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Ashok Chavan inaugurated the plant recently.

This plant will manufacture various types of air and water cooled engines, Pumpsets and Gensets. This is one of the most modern plants in diesel engine industry in off highway applications.

This plant has a capacity to manufacture over 200,000 Engines per annum ranging from 4HP to 120HP. It also has a dedicated unit for producing Silent Gensets with an installed production capacity of 12000 units per annum.

 

The company has also launched a new range of DV Series Engines and a range of Gas Gensets. These engines have been successfully designed and developed by the Research and Engineering team of Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd.  Made with 4 Valve HPCI Technology, DV series engines are suited for Gensets in the range of 400 to 625 KVA. They are best in class in their category when it comes to fuel efficiency and low emissions. The engines can also be run on 100% bio-diesel.

Introduction of Gas Gensets is a proactive step by KOEL, anticipating its demand in near future with fast improving gas availability. The range currently available is from 15 KVA to 140 KVA.
