Kobian, a manufacturer of motherboards, casings and other computer peripherals, discussed their Motherboard Product Roadmap for the year 2010. Kobian has grown their product basket multifold in the last year, 2009, and is all set to offer a unique basket proposition to their channel partners.
Kobian launched their Mercury Motherboards supporting AMD AM3 / AM2+ processors. Mercury KN78P powered by NVIDIA MCP78 integrated chipset delivers outstanding performance to support Dual Channel DDR2 memory. With Graphic performance enhanced by GeForce8300 and onboard 8channel Audio giving the home-theatre effect, this board promises an incomparable performance for work and games.
Kobian adds in another model to the AMD series, Mercury KR78G which features the AMD RS780G chipset to support the latest Phenom II processor for AM2+/AM3 socket. Its graphics are powered by Radeon HD3200, 8 channel audio and 6 SATA II supports makes this board an apt solution for power users.
Both KN78P & KR78G are with DVI Output, HDMI interface and SPDIF. These added features enhance the visual quality of digital display on LCD screens and supports the high definition video formats.
The entry level model of KN61P shall be available for the entry level market AMD AM2+ & AM3 Sockets. Powered by the Integrated Single chipset, NVIDIA MCP61P, the board support 7channel audio and GeForce Graphics quality.
The Intel Roadmap remains strong with the complete range of the mainstream Intel G41chipet. Kobian has two flavours in this chipset, one option is with DDR2+DDR3 onboard and the other is with DDR3 only. ”We are giving the option to the channel for the having a board which supports both the modules, it’s an easier solution for customers and the flexibility is more.” Said Ms Sushmita Das, Country Manager –India, Kobian Pte Ltd. Mercury PIG41Z supports Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo processor unto 1333 MHz FSB, a Max Memory of 8GB and supports 6-Channel audio.

Higher chipsets like Intel G45, Intel G55, and Intel X58 shall be introduced in the next quarter in India.
