Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India’s leader in utility vehicles today announced that it has commenced production of the much anticipated XYLO as per schedule this month. The XYLO which is set for its national unveiling on January 13th 2009 is being manufactured at Mahindra’s state-of-the-art facility in Nashik. The company plans to open customer bookings for its latest offering by January 14th, 2009.
Dr. Pawan Goenka, President Automotive Sector, M&M Ltd said, "We have started production of the XYLO at our Nashik facility on schedule, after extensive road tests and will launch the vehicle on January 13, 2009. The XYLO would be available in a phased manner across our dealerships from day one and we will open for customer bookings on January 14th, 2009. The XYLO is a special vehicle for all of us at Mahindra, as we have co-created the vehicle in conjunction with our customers to surpass their latent lifestyle aspirations. I am confident that the XYLO will also evolve into a truly iconic brand from the Mahindra Group.”
