Manav Rachna University ties up with JBM Cadmium

* New Product Development Programme in B.Tech curricula will give an insight to the students on developing new products and processes.

* The programme has been jointly launched by New Business Development Association (NBDA), SIOO and JBM Group

Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad has introduced an innovative integration with JBM Cadmium Pvt. Ltd. Together they have launched this initiative for teaching New Product Development as a the part of existing B.Tech curricula in the fields of Mechanical Engg, Automobile Engg, Aeronautical Engg, Electronics Engg at the University campus. The programme has been jointly launched by New Business Development Association (NBDA), SIOO and JBM Group.

 

The inaugural function was attended by senior dignitaries and faculty members of the University including Dr. O.P. Bhalla, Chancellor, MRIU; Mr. Prashant Bhalla, Senior Vice President; Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Victor Gambhir, Pro Vice Chancellor; Dr. M.K. Soni, Dean- Faculty of Engineering & Technology; Prof. Naresh Grover, Director; Prof. B.S. Gill and Prof. D.S. Gotra, Associate Directors.

“We have taken sole responsibility of our students and promise that they will leave MRIU with high level knowledge and range of skills to master new challenges coming their way, with huge choice of careers with a mark in the new industry”, said Mr. Prashant Bhalla, Senior Vice President, MRIU.

“Both MRIU and JBM want to create more efficient and learned tech graduates, for the benefit of the students as well as technological growth of a country”, he further added.

New Product Development Programme in B.Tech curricula will give an insight to the students on developing new products and processes. The curricula will include Business Strategy, Product Strategy, Market Research, New Products Process, Portfolio Management, Tools & Metrics and Teams, People & Organizational Issues. The course will be delivered by Prof. Rogier van Duin and Prof. Chris Goes from The Netherlands.

NBDA is an associate in the international Product Development and Management Organization (PDMO) network which is the largest innovation network in the world. NBDA offers in-depth know-how in the field of product development and has branches in The Netherlands and Singapore.

SIOO was founded in 1958 by the Dutch Universities. The foundation has served as a bridge between academic organization studies and organizational practice and change processes. SIOO has developed into an 'intellectual space and professional home' for professionals to contribute towards successful change processes and innovations in organizations, to develop in the fields of organization studies and change management.

Speaking about the initiative Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, MRIU said, “We have taken this initiative to provide focused education in the field of high-end design education, business management and innovation management for technical skill development and enhancement of professionals thereby making them industry ready.”

Sh. Nishant Arya, Executive Director, JBM Group addressed more than 300 engineering students of MRIU. In his keynote session he stressed upon the need for introduction of Innovation and Technology Management in curricula and called upon them to develop new thinking in the subject. He also said that Engineers must encompass techno-commercial skills in the beginning of their career so that they can innovate and explore new opportunities in their future.
