More From This Section
MARG will explore opportunities in the following 3 spaces with and / or in Australia:
- Vocational Training Collaboration: Vocational Training Collaboration: Indian Infrastructure sector is undergoing a major transformation. The Indian Government led initiatives like the DMIC & the DFC will entail an expenditure of more than 100,000 Crores INR (Ref Mr. Amitabh Kanth, Chairman DMIC), over a decade. But our country is lacking the trained manpower resources who will be executing this at the forefront. There is a huge shortage of trained manpower in the trades of construction, Engineering related disciplines. This is because the Vocational training platform in India is not a well established one and is not integrated with the Industry.
Australia has innovative approaches in Vocational training. Trades Training Centers which is part of Schools program, a $2.5 billion initiative designed to address Australia’s skills needs by providing greater opportunities for secondary students to participate in vocational education and training while still at school. We are working with Austrade in finding the right partners for establishing a Vocational training platform which will help in bridging the skilled manpower resources gap in India. We at Marg Swaranbhoomi are working with Indian Corporate & Australian Bodies in creating world class Infrastructure and establish high quality standards in bridging this resources gap. - Mining: Mining in Australia is a major Industry as the country is rich in mineral reserves like coal, gold, iron ore etc. A lot of Indian companies also import coal & iron ore through the eastern coast of India. Looking at the huge Energy needs of India in the next 2 decades, a lot of Indian conglomerates over the last few years have invested in Australian mines and many more will do so to get strong linkages in the domestic operations. We are touching base with different organizations & Institutions with Indian Corporate & Australian companies to give a major boost to both creating supporting Infrastructure for Mines in Australia and also on the cargo business at our ports where over 80% of the bulk Cargo consists of Coal.
- Development of Water Sports: Australian universities like Australian National University are ranked in top 20 in world when it comes to water sports. They are analyzed on their deliverables, alumni feedback and industry feedback etc. Since there is a huge demand for skilled professional in different water sports in India, Australia Universities & Sporting Bodies are the ideal choice to tie up with to start up a world renowned water sports academy at MARG Swarnabhoomi.
