Max New York Life Insurance, one of India’s leading life insurance companies, today announced 3rd Max New York Life igenius Scholarships - 2012, its highly successful and innovative parent-child engagement initiative to support all-round child’s development. This largest corporate scholarship programme gets even bigger by adding a new category ‘igenius PRIMARY’ for children in Nursery to Class 2. The igenius programme will also provide 2,000 child well-being sponsorships to socially and economically disadvantaged children.
The unique Max New York Life igenius programme identifies, rewards and supports talent development among children who display all-round skills. It also helps parents in their quest to provide their children enabling environment for multifaceted development. Since its inception in 2010, more than 4,000 school children have been awarded the igenius Scholarships for all-round excellence.
The company’s offline initiatives are complemented by a huge parent community of over 1.5 lakh igenius members on Facebook, who engage on an ongoing basis on various parenting discussions.

3rd Max New York Life igenius Scholarship programme offers 1,100 scholarships. This year a ‘Primary category’ has been added to enable children from Nursery to Class 2 to participate in the programme. With this addition, around 70 million more children will now have an opportunity to participate in this unique programme. Conceptualised with Derek O’Brien Associates and open for Nursery to Class 8th children studying in government-recognised private, public or national Indian schools, it has a robust multiple-level evaluation process. The programme has no registration fee and grand first prizes of Rs 10 lakh in each of its three categories – Primary (Nursery to Class 2); Junior (Class 3 to Class 5) and Senior (Class 6 to Class 8).
For the Primary category, registration is open only through agent advisors, distribution channels and at Max New York Life branch offices. For the Junior and Senior categories, students wanting to participate in 3rd Max New York Life igenius Scholarship -2012 can register online, at www.igenius.org, or through the company’s branch offices and other networks. The company will also run a school programme for Junior and Senior category.
