MIAL statement on BEST buses

Mumbai International Airport (Pvt.) Ltd would like to reiterate the fact that there has been no intimation at any time from MIAL to BEST to stop bus services catering to the domestic terminals in Santa Cruz.

The decision to stop the services was unilateral. Work has been going on in the past few months on upgrading the facilities in the cityside of Terminals 1B and 1A as a result of which the traffic flow for vehicles has undergone a change. This necessitated a relocation of bus-stops within the terminal area.

MIAL had a meeting today with officials from BEST to consider the options for routing of bus services in the domestic terminal area.

A second meeting has been scheduled for next week.
