Neeraj Garg appointed Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars in India

Mr. Neeraj Garg has been appointed as the Director (Member of Board) of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Division of Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited. In this position, he will report to Mr. Joerg Mueller, President and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group India and Volkswagen Brand India.

Mr. Garg will be will be responsible for all sales, marketing and after-sales activities of the Volkswagen brand in India and will oversee the Indian product development strategy of all locally produced Volkswagen brand models as well as imported vehicles.

Announcing Mr. Neeraj Garg’s appointment, Mr Joerg Mueller, President and Managing Director, Volkswagen Group India and Volkswagen Brand India stated, “I welcome Mr Garg into the Volkswagen India family and wish him all the best. I’m sure that with his rich professional experience, Mr. Garg will be instrumental in helping us make further inroads into the Indian passenger car market.’’

 

A mechanical engineer, Mr. Garg also studied Industrial Management with Specialization in Marketing from N.I.T.I.E., Mumbai. With over two decades of experience in the automobile industry, his last stint was with Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. responsible for Nissan cars & SUVs. He was instrumental in contributing to Nissan’s entry to India and was responsible for the overall profitable operations of Nissan India including HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Dealer network development, after sales, product planning and standardization of all processes. Prior to Nissan, Neeraj has held several significant positions in renowned companies: Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., India; Al Futtaim – Trading Enterprises, Dubai; Suhail and Saud Bahwan, Oman; Premier Automobiles Limited, India & Eicher Goodearth Limited, India.

Neeraj Garg is married with two kids and based out of Mumbai.
