1. Hutch, one of India's leading telecom service providers, recently launched billing services in nine Indian languages, apart from English. This is yet another first from the Company towards providing billing services which are more customers friendly. Hutch customers can now receive their bills in 10 different languages which are English, Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Gujarati and Malayalam. In addition, Hutch customers can now pay their bills through credit card by calling the Hutch Care Helpline 111. Hutch customers can call the Hutch Care Helpline 111, and request for bills in the language of Hutch their choice. They will then receive bills in their preferred language from the next billing cycle onwards. This will be offered to Hutch customers at no extra charge. |

Hutch, has also teamed up with Microsoft to offer Live Search for mobile to its customers, giving users the first time in India access to an easy-to-use mobile search engine that returns relevant results quickly. Live Search for mobile will now enable Hutch subscribers to search for content like Tones, Images, Videos and Games on PlanetHutch as well as information on the worldwide web. |
3. Jet Airways, India's premier airline, and Hutch, one of India's leading telecom service providers, have come together today to announce a pioneering initiative - M-ticketing with JetWallet, on Planet Hutch. This service will be available Hutch customers with GPRS enabled phones, who are also Jet Privilege members. With this facility, Jet Privilege members can now book, pay and generate e-tickets on their Hutch phones. |
4. Now tickers will run on your Hutch Nokia mobile handset too. Another first from Hutch brings to its customers the ease of accessing news and information. This service brings the world's happenings to one's Hutch phone in the form of a simple ticker very similar to the news scroller that runs at the bottom of TV news channels. It scrolls news and cricket scores in the Hutch pink ticker at the bottom of the handset of select Nokia phones. Hutch customers can download the Pink Ticker Service from PlanetHutch for free by clicking on the Hutch Pink Ticker link, or by sending PH as an SMS to 5555 at Rs. 3 per SMS. The usage charge for the ticker is 10p/10kb. A subscriber would be required to first have PlanetHutch activated on his/her Hutch phone. Same can be activated by sending PH as an SMS to 123 at RS 3 per SMS. |

Hutch today launched the concept of simplified tariff sizes - Small, Medium and Large, to make the process of choosing a relevant tariff plan simple with enhanced accuracy. Hutch will analyse a customer's actual talk time usage and recommend the best suited plan from Small, Medium & Large (SML) plans- for Prepaid as well as Postpaid customers free of cost. The plethora of choices in talk plans offered by telecom service providers have left customers completely confused. Also, people have certain common talking patterns i.e. some people talk less while others talk more. Based on these consumer insights, Hutch has made the process of choosing a tariff plan extremely simple and developed the concept of SML. 7. Sony Ericsson, one of the world's leading Mobile Manufacturers today joined hands with EMI Music (India), a part of the world's third largest Music Company EMI Group Plc to bring the exclusive track, 'Better Man', exclusively to Hutch subscribers on select Sony Ericsson's Walkman® phones. This track, not yet been released on CDs or Music cassettes in India, features Robbie Williams, UK's biggest solo artist and the legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosale. This makes it a first for the music and entertainment industry in India, and an exciting initiative for the telecom industry. Sony Ericsson has also partnered with Hutch to make the other World Exclusive Remix of Robbie Williams & Asha Bhosale song "Rock DJ" available for download exclusively for Hutch subscribers. Hutch customers can also download the song 'Don't Stop Talking' which is the unreleased exclusive track from the album Rudebox. These songs can be downloaded as caller tunes through SMS or the PlatnetHutch Wap Portal. |

Blackberry 8800: Hutch, one of India's leading telecom service providers, and Research In Motion (RIM) launched the BlackBerry® 8800 smartphone, which has been available from Hutch starting last week of March. The BlackBerry 8800 from Hutch offers customers a unique blend of performance and elegance. It features built-in GPS (Global Positioning System), a first for a BlackBerry handset in India.
