World’s first dedicated Defence Offset print magazine
Offset India Solutions (OIS), India’s foremost specialized Offset advisory company announced the launch of the Global Defence Offset Review, the first and only global magazine on Defence offsets. The inaugural issue was distributed with an extremely positive reception during their participation in Aero India 2011, 8th International Exhibition on Aerospace, Defense and Civil Aviation.
“We support the Defence Offset Policy, especially as it is a critical and dynamic policy instrument to help ensure the success of the Defence Production Policy. Beginning with tracking India’s dynamic defence offset climate, this print publication will cover local and international offset news, events and opportunities. It will also explore dynamic global linkages that will emerge as the Offset Policy continues to evolve into the future. This is intended to link India’s Defence Offset opportunities to the global offset network.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sareen continued, “There has been a need for a dedicated publication focused in the offset category to cater to the business and policy needs of this specialized sector. The launch of Global Defence Offset Review is timed following the announcement of recent production policy. As the only magazine in its category, it will help in providing relevant information to this sector’s stakeholders.”
Offsets are obligatory countertrade mechanism to drive investments of at least 30% of large global defence acquisitions into building India nascent defence industrial base. Offsets alone are stated to be a $25bn industry in an year’s time.
